At the exhibition at Magasin 3 Pedro Cabrita Reis presents several large site-specific installations. Cabrita Reis’s foundation for his artwork is painting but today his work approaches architecture. His ability to develop the medium has led him to the three-dimensional. The process behind every piece, choice of available material and the social context, is all part of the exhibition at Magasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall. Pedro Cabrita Reis was born 1956 in Lisbon, where he continues to live and work. He first came to international attention as a participant in Documenta IX, 1992. He was the Portuguese representative at the São Paulo Biennale, 1994, and the Venice Biennale, 1997. A selection of his solo exhibitions include; Museum Folkwang in Essen, Stichting De Appel in Amsterdam, IVAM in Valencia, Museum Moderner Kunst-Stiftung Ludwig in Vienna and Serralves-Museum of Contemporary Art in Porto.
