Susanne Henriques

1948

Susanne Henriques was born in 1948 in Stockholm where she lives and works. She is educated at Konstfack, Stockholm, within textiles (1978). In 2016 she received her master’s degree in art history.

Henriques works consistently with textiles, she describes the work as enriched paintings through the surfaces and structures that the material gives rise to. Through the weaving technique, she creates different motif worlds that span between the naturalistic and the abstract, often based on specific themes.

Henriques work can be found in the collections of Public Art Agency Sweden, Stockholm; S:t Eriks kyrka, Sollentuna: Karolinska University Hospital, Solna; the Region Stockholm Assembly; the Region Gävleborg Assembly; the Region Norrland Assembly and Råsunda kyrka, Solna.
