Cecilia Edefalk
Cecilia Edefalk was born in 1954 in Norrköping, Sweden. She lives and works in Berlin and Stockholm. Edefalk has studied at Konstfack, Birkagårdens folkhögskola, and the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm.
Selected solo exhibitions include Norrköpings konstmuseum, Norrköping, Sweden (2020–2021, 2005); Gladstone Gallery, New York (2010); The Art Institute of Chicago (2006); Moderna Museet, Stockholm (1999); Kunsthalle Bern (1998) and Galleri Wallner, Malmö, Sweden (1988). Group exhibitions include Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen (2000); Tramway, Glasgow (2000); Castello di Rivoli, Turin (2000); Vancouver Art Gallery (2000) and Bildmuseet, Umeå, Sweden (2000). Edefalk has also participated in Documenta 11, Kassel (2002) and the 22nd Bienal de São Paulo (1994).
Her work can be found in the collections of Göteborgs konstmuseum, Gothenburg, Sweden; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Norrköpings konstmuseum, Norrköping, Sweden and the Nordic Watercolour Museum, Skärhamn, Sweden.
