Anna Malagrida

Anna Malagrida was born in 1970 in Barcelona. She lives and works in Paris. In 1996 she graduated from l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d’Arles, France.

Malagrida works as a photographer and video artist. In her artistry she questions the space in the contemporary city, structured in opposition between the interior and the exterior, as for windows, displays and boarders.

Selected solo exhibitions include Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona, Spain (2018); Centre George Pompidou, Paris (2016); Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Gas Natural Fenosa, Spain (2015); Fonds Regional d’Art Contemporain, Marseille (2015); Pallazina dei Giardini, Galleria Civica di Modena, Italy (2011); Centre Photographique d’Ile de France (2011) and Fundación Mapfre, Madrid (2010). Among her group exhibitions include the Pushkin Art Museum, Moscow (2020); Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing (2009) and Kulturhuset, Stockholm (2008).

Malagrida’s works are included in collections as Centre George Pompidou, Paris; Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona; Wolsfburg Art Museum, Germany; Fonds National d’Art Contemporain, Paris; Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León, Spain; Institut Valencià d’Art Modern, Valencia; Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona, Spain; Fondation Mapfre, Madrid; Kawasaki City Musem, Japan; Elgiz Museum, Turkey and Ella Cisneros collection, Venezuela.
