Andrea Zittel is an American artist most closely associated with remarkable utopian structures she calls living systems. For over two decades she has been creating minimal self-sufficient dwelling spaces in which daily activities such as sleeping, eating, cooking and socializing are transformed into acts of art. The at Magasin 3 in 2011 focused on ideas related to A-Z West, her studio and home in Joshua Tree in the Californian desert.
