Meet Domestic Sculpture<\/em> by Annika Elisabeth von Hausswolff at Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum this spring!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t miss the opportunity to encounter a central work from Magasin III\u2019s collection this spring. Domestic Sculpture<\/em> by Annika Elisabeth von Hausswolff is a life-sized photograph of a disheveled velvet sofa. It will be presented as part of the exhibition Family \u2013 For Better or Worse<\/em> at Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum in Stockholm, March 27-September 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Magasin III, we are proud to hold one of the world\u2019s largest collections of Annika Elisabeth von Hausswolff\u2019s work. The 2008 solo exhibition Ich Bin Die Ecke Aller Ra\u00fcme<\/em> at the museum, curated by Tessa Praun and David Neuman, presented around fifty of her works from the collection alongside a large-scale installation created specifically for Magasin III.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Von Hausswolff\u2019s practice spans many areas, but she is best known for her carefully staged photographs in which seemingly quotidian objects and environments are portrayed as psychologically loaded, multi-faceted and suggestive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1987, Magasin III has served as a platform for the most compelling contemporary art by nationally and internationally renowned artists. Since its inception, the museum has offered artists the opportunity to create new works, known as Magasin III Productions. Over the years, and in tandem with our exhibition program, an extensive collection has developed. The institution has also produced numerous publications and hosted a wide range of programs connected to its exhibitions.
