Starting point is\u00a0 the conceptualist turn in studio production, a turn that was initiated by Tony Smith\u2019s\u00a0 <em>Die<\/em>,\u00a0 a sculpture of which he ordered the production by simply telling the instructions over the phone to the steel company.<\/p>\n<p>Wouter Davidts is professor of modern and contemporary art at VU University in Amsterdam and co-editor of the book <em>The Fall of the Studio. Artists at Work<\/em>. After the lecture follows an artist talk with\u00a0 Maria Hedlund, Carl Hammoud and curator Tessa Praun from Magasin 3.\u00a0 They\u00a0 will share their view on the studio and their work process.\u00a0 Language:\u00a0 English. Exhibition and caf\u00e9 are open from 5 pm.
