Magasine III Jaffa Books hosts Daniel Tchetchik for the launch of his new book, published by Beeri Gallery\u00a0– Backroads<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Backroads<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>is a retrospective, spanning over 25 years. Through a collection of works and, for the first time, poems published by the artist, the book unveils artistic meandering paths. The book\u2019s title embodies my way of seeing and working: tracing the BackRoads<\/em>, choosing the unconventional, exploring the roads less travele, and discovering paths yet to be found. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The book was published and supported by Kibbutz Be\u2019eri and curated masterfully by Sofie Berzon MacKie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A two year work process stemming back to the preparations for the Days before Darkness exhibition which was displayed at the Eretz Israel Museum.
The 120-page book juxtaposes works from various series, weaving together romantic compositions with wild, untamed landscapes. The works reflect on social and ecological themes while suggesting introspections on the photographic medium itself. Combining abstract with figurative, urbanity and nature, pleasant and disturbing, the works form a tapestry of human experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Backroads<\/em> is an observation and artistic examination of our cosmic existence – a metaphysical journey between the known and the unknown. It positions the reader as a wanderer, navigating images that feel both familiar and alien.
